Olympia Model Railroad Society

The layout features 5.5 scale miles of double main line on three levels. The club has been in this location for over 32 years and was originally a modular layout. In the early 1990s the club began a permanent installation in this space, and over the years, the layout has expanded to take over the entire basement space.

The 1st Sub has 9 tracks of lower yard storage (15 foot sidings) and a main track reversing loop. The 2nd Sub has the Seaport Station Passenger yard (5 thru tracks, one Commissary track); a 7 track classification yard at Half Moon; a container yard, 5.5 scales miles of double main line and two helixes at either end of the layout room. The 3rd Sub is Post Falls (on the peninsula), 4th Sub is the Hill City lumber and farming area (peninsula upper level) and the 5th Sub is Mountain Home with a mining camp, located above the South Helix.
