Todd VonStup The MRL Columbia & Palouse Division is a 1998 era Proto-Freelanced N Scale multi-deck layout in a 2-room basement space. Designed for operations with a yardmaster, dispatcher, and 3 to 4 road crews along an approx. 191’ mainline with ABS signaling. Locale is Eastern Washington’s Palouse region and Idaho’s Bitterroot Mountains following the histories of the Northern Pacific and Columbia & Palouse from the 1880s beginnings up to the what ifs of 1998 with the MRL. NCE wireless throttles control 25 car length trains as they climb out of the Palouse and battle the Bitterroot Mountains to reach Missoula, MT. Requires stairs to enter layout.
